You're probably familiar with many injectable dermal fillers such as Resty lane, Juve derm. However, one you probably haven't heard of is Revanesse Versa.
Revanesse Versa is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler, just like the well-known Juve derm and Resty lane. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is found within the body, and is proven to correct the appearance of facial wrinkles and creases when injected. The formula for Versa is made of only high quality ingredients and is processed in small batches to maximize quality and safety. While Revanesse Versa has been approved worldwide for years, it was just recently approved in the U.S. by the Food and Drug Administration, so we brought it into our office!
Versa works just like the other dermal fillers, which it is a soft tissue filler that is injected into wrinkles and creases to soften and fill them out. We compare the product to a mix between Juve derm Ultra and Juve derm Ultra Plus. This means it can be injected into areas such as nasolabial folds and the lips. The results can either smooth out lines or add volume to lips. So far, we have actually noticed a significant reduction in the amount of swelling that we regularly see with other fillers.
The length of time for wrinkle correction varies. Many people maintain correction at six months, and/or continue to be happy with the level of correction up until 12 months. Personally at ZONA, we are testing Versa to see how long is stands up to Juve derm, hoping that it lasts a little longer.
If you have gotten any dermal fillers before, you can get Versa filler worry free. As always with any injectable treatments, there are a few contraindications that can not be treated with Versa (or any other injectable):
